Vanlife Adventure: A Sunny Scottish Road Trip

Have you ever just packed up your campervan and set off without too much of a fixed plan? This was exactly the spirit of my latest road trip—a four-day journey along the beautiful south-west coast of Scotland during a rare, glorious heatwave. The goal? Explore, unwind, and finally use our Scottish Heritage cards, all while soaking up as much sunshine as possible.

Trip Overview

Route: Caerlaverock Castle → Dumfries (Robert Burns House & Mausoleum) → Wigtown → Luce Bay → Mull of Galloway Lighthouse → Ayr → Largs → Luce Bay (again!)

Stop-by-Stop Breakdown

Day 1: Caerlaverock Castle
